April, 2000 – TFLeague officially opened its doors to the general public allowing clans to play in a new league for Half-Life’s TeamFortress Classic (TFC). It’s been a great eight years of playing TFC but the time has come for us to close the doors on our TFC Division. I personally want to thank everyone who has worked for the league and contributed to the overall success of the league. Our primary focus is TeamFortress II along with other games in the works for clans to join and compete against other clans. We will be adding a few more games along with some sponsorships that will enable us to grow even further in the future.

Thanks again to all those clans, and players that played in TFC over the past eight years. It sure was fun!

League DirectorI would like to thank Gem and BCR for all the years they have served this community. Not many know how much time and effort it takes to run a league. Let me tell you it's like a second full time job. Eight years is a very long time and had they not put forth that effort I doubt competitive TFC would have lasted as long as it did.

Everyone please take a moment to thank them for their hard work. Things like this should not go unrecognized.

That's actually sad to hear. TFL was always my favorite league. I played for 6 years in TFL and had a blast doing so.

BCR and Gem sends everyone their love and thanks for the many years of supporting TFL's TFC Divisons. 8 years is a long time to keep something going but thanks to your support, TFL TFC hung in there.

And on a side note...

Just to be clear, TFL only closed our TFC Division. TFL TF2 is still up and running. We are taking apps for our Highlander division and will soon be taking apps for our TF2 6v6 division.

man this is a sad day. so many thursday nights in middle/high school i remember looking forward to playing TFL matches at 9. TFL TFC was really a great league no matter how much we all used to bitch about the admins. gg guys, thanks for everything over the years, maybe ill see you in the TF2 leagues.

TFL is still open for TF2 8v8, TF2 Highlander and soon for TF2 6v6.

I'm sorry you can't alias anymore Mass, You'd actually have to be a legitimate TF2 player now because there is no banlist.
