Just wondering if anybody else has this problem or knows of a fix. Source games (HL2, TF2, etc) will freeze for about 1 minute every 20 or so minutes of playing. The screen goes black and it repeats whatever sound was playing last (even voices on multiplayer). Then after about a minute it goes back... Pretty annoying.
I have- Inspiron 1720 Dell Notebook, Windows Vista, Geforce 8600M GT, 3 gb RAM, fast cpu, etc, need any more info?
I think it might have something to do with the drivers, since I have to use Dell drivers, I can't download the Nvidia ones. The latest dell one is from October while the newest Nvidia one is something like January, but I can't install it.
Any help much appreciated, will update this if I find a solution for reference purposes.
