Holliday dropped to 10th so I was happy about that. Was hoping to get Santana at 15 but he already went at 9. High for a pitcher I think, but oh well...I got a legit 50 HR, 130+ RBI threat in Howard at 15.
Normally I'll pick up Joe Smhoe at the Catcher position...but it's hard to pass on Martin in the 3rd round. Took Roberts in the 4th round. 39 might be high for him, but I consider him an elite 2B and I needed speed after taking Howard...and what the hell.
Took Atkins in the 5th round to play 3B for me. I can also plug him in at 1B when Howard isn't playing. 25 HRs, 100+ RBI, .300 avg.
Next I needed some pitching I think. I hate Lacky and I think he's gonna flop big time this year. But the Angels have a good team so I'll get some wins and hopefully a few K's and decent whip.
SS is a tough position to fill. If you don't take the top 3 (Reyes, Ramerez, Rollins) you're basically destined to fail in this category. That being said, I feel that Furcal will help with average, and in the last 3 years he's averaged 26 steals. I look for .290 avg, 10 HRs and 30+ steals.
Again, needed pitching. Chris Young is a gamble. But he plays in SD and has good stuff.
Took Andrew Jones next to help in the OF. Please have a bounce back year?
Jenks is my closer. Solid pick at 111 I think.
Paul Konerko. Not looking at last year, looking at the year before. over .300 avg, 35 HRs, 113 RBIs.
Shane Victorino. Steals and .280 average. Some pop too, 12 HRs in 131 games.
Matt Kemp. Young stud. Speed, power, average. Could pay off big.
Phil Hughes...is he starting? Has #1 stuff the scouts say. Huge gamble...but with the Yankees lineup I'll get wins and he's good for k's.
Dontrelle Willis. Bad from a fantasy standpoint maybe. But have you seen the Tiger's lineup?! 20+ wins for this guy.
Tood Jones. Another closer. He's fading fast. I'll pay for this one I think.
Rickie Weeks. Speed off the bench. He'll see a lot of bench unless I'm way behind in steals. 16 HRs in 118 games as a 2B though. Might have upside.
Evan Longoria. Biggest gamble...biggest reward. This years Ryan Braun? I think so...he might start in the minors, but I'm keeping him for a while.
Barry Zito. Wins and k's. Fucks up my ERA, but he's healthy a lot of the time at least. Might not start him unless I need to.
Pat Neshek. Good for whip, era and k's. No saves here...but solid I think.
Jonathan Broxton. Same as Neshek. 99 k's in 82 innings? I'll take those ratios. He's young. Might get saves too if the Dodgers need him to.
Kevin Kouzmanoff. Huge 2nd half of the season last year. Not a bad last pick I guess. I'll see how he starts off the season.
