Sorry for the source but every other site was leftest in nature and thus not very unbiased.

The law allows virtually anyone to bring war crimes charges in Belgian courts against suspects from any country, although the Belgian Government has the right to intervene to have the suits dismissed if they are deemed political.
As much as I understand the need to hold those accountable for their actions during war/conflict, couldn't someone come up with a more tangable means of doing so?
The process seems very flawed from the outset. Why would say George Bush take such a suite serious? Or Tommy Franks for that matter. Whats Belgian law or even NATO for that matter going to say or do considering the events prior to the Iraq invasion?
Rumsfeld basically demanded the Belgians to dismiss the charges or NATO doesn't get funding for a new headquarters as well as suggesting a relocation of the headquarters would be in order. NATO holds no power and the above mentioned events showed that very clearly.
I guess we should start calling our leaders "The UnTouchables".
