Hey, I just got my new computer up and running and I ordered a Ati Radeon 9500 Pro AGP off newegg, which hasnt got here yet. So anyways I get 100 fps but when people come into view it goes down to 82. When I get this video card like monday will it fix the problem?

Specs:

AMD Athlon 2400+ XP - 2 GHZ
MB nFORCE2 EP-8RDA+ EPOX RTL
Crucial 256 MB 3200 DDR
ATI Radeon VE 32 MB (Got it like 3 years ago

New Video Card - VGA ATI|RADEON 9500PRO 128M DDR DVI

When I pay off my parents I'll get 512 D:

What OS are you gonna be on? if it is XP i would recommend the 512 before playing. sometimes even for 2000 though.

Ya XP, it might be awhile, maybe a month because I don't think he will let me buy anything else off his credit card without paying for the rest of the computer, let alone the $200 video card.

Since I play in OpenGL, I moved them all to high performance (works better on regular performance, prob what you said to do :p) and turned vsync to always on, and it never got above 60.

So I took those off and just wait until I get the good video card, instead of this pos. That video card will work with my motherboard right? At 8x speed?

Anyways, where can I find a program for my desktop, anything that shows cpu temperture. I don't wanna burn out my new processor. The heatsink is AMD approved so it should work. What temperture range should it?

Thanks.
