Whenever I connect to a server in tfc, I use HLIT. My fps is fine from when I'm console until I join the server. When I join the serv, my fps drops dramatically, then when I go into the resupply it goes normal. After I get out of the resup room everytime, my fps drops dramatically from like 28 or 26 to 3-9 fps. THIS IS HORRIBLE. Whenever I come close to any other player, it lags me even more lol. I'm not sure if it's my Verizon DSL or my computer since I've been playing fine before the sparkys was released to the phatfarms but I doubt it's the sparkys. If you have any suggestions, or questions to help me please reply to the post.
Here's my info :
10.2 GB HP Pavilion
Intel Celeron Processor 500 MHz
64 MD SDRAM shared memory architecture with up to 11 MB allocated to video memory ( AS YOU CAN SEE I'M COPYING FROM THE PAPER )
Integrated Intel Direct AGP graphics
Windows 98 Second Edition
I've been playing fine until 2 or 3 days ago, when me and apoc went into a newbie 2fort pub to mess around as engineers. That's when I really started to lag badly =/ IF you have any suggestions, or questions please post! Thx alot!!:D

I would check your config.cfg file. Alot of times newb admins will mess around with it. Just make sure everything in there is how it should be. Or just delete the file and have HL make a new one.

So you want me to backup my current cfg file? and then delete the regular config.cfg, and go into a server?

I recommend upping ur RAM by about 128 that should help a lot, and after that up ur ONBOARD video to maybe 25. Ur processor is quite sl0w and how recently have u defragged and other things with ur HD? How much space is left?

just change the name of it to like cfgbkup.cfg and then join a server.

I currently have 1.8 GB of free space, and I'm not sure when the last time that I defragged was =/

Have you installed any new programs that might have done this?
Like other people said: more ram, new proccessor, defragging, and clearing space on your hd wouldnt hurt.
