(good site for shit BTW, based in PA)
Does anyone know if this heat pipe shit is actually any good? Does anyone have something with the "Heat Pipe Technology?" If so, is it any good? Any problems? I'm thinking about getting one of these because the core of my MD 2000+ is abnormally hot. Thank you much!!
[ edit ] BTW, how does it work? [ /edit ]

For good reviews and a top 10 list for CPU HSF's, goto http://www.cluboc.net and http://harcocp.com. ClubOC has a top 10 list that is updated pretty often, and also has a couple nice reviews for the heatpipe stuff. Most of the heatpipe stuff sucks, but I remember some company making a decent one a month or so back.

I jsut got home from work and the PC was ideling (but edonkey was downloading) and my CPU temp is 48*C (118*F). I was looking at the High/Low on Motherboard Monitor and it says my Low is 45*C(113*F), High 53*C(127*F) and average of 47*C(116*F)
Also on that page it says that my +12.00V line is only +10.14V is that bad?
Also where can I find the "danger temps" for my processor? I tried AMD's site but I think i just couldn't find it.

that temp is fine...the norm they say for AMD's are around 60C...so no worries..unless your gonna over clock. mine's around the same temp right now.

the heatpipe has a bit of water in the bottom area of the pipes, and when heated by the cpu evaporates and goes up to the top to be dispersed in the fins....when this moisture cools it drops back down and repeats the cycle. I have one in this comp and it works better than a normal HS/FAN by about 2-3 degrees C, so not much difference
