View Full Version : Monitor/Computer has no display

My friends' computer does not show anything on the monitor. They tried to turn on the computer a few days ago, and they could hear it boot up, but the monitor just stayed black (yes, the monitor was on). Does anybody have any idea what could possibly be wrong. Thanks.

cable plugged into the video card all the way?

is the video card plugged in all the way into the motherboard?

I had the same problem. Thought it was my monitor, bought a new one, but it was my video card, then 4 months later (now) I thought my Video Card died again, RMA'd it, tried it, didn't work. Tried it in another computer and worked. Bought a new P/S, but that wasnt the case. So, its the motherboard, so I just bought a amd 2500+,epox 8rda+, corsair 2x256 3200 XMS series, should arrive tomorrow.
