Movement binds

I've been gamming since Wolfenstein 3D came out....ever since wolf3d, I've used the arrow keys for movement...now that I'm actually trying to learn how to bhop/strafe jump, I'm currious as to what keys ya'll use, or any suggestions for binds to make it easier to learn.

IT DOESNT MATTER USE WHATEVER YOUR MOST COMFORTABLE WITH.

although if you CAN try and switch to WASD or ESDF because you have like 3 times as many keys you can bind closely around your fingers (with arrows you only have about 9, and they get cumbersome)

i use arrows for tfc; however, it's true that there aren't many keys to use nearby, but you don't need ninety keys that spam retarded text binds that whore sparkies if you just use your mic.

I use WASD, I tried to switch to ESDF but I couldn't get used to it. If you can, I would suggest trying ESDF first, although you really don't need more keys then WASD would give you (if that makes sense).

I use the key pad. Solves the "not a lot of butons around the arrows" problem but still lets you have straight up and down movement keys. my setup is like this all numbers are key pad.

8 forward
5 backward
4 left strafe
6 right strafe
KP_enter Gren1
kp_del Gren2
0 droptimes/detdispenser i change it on class.
KP_+ secondary attack- I use right mouse to jump
9 reload
7 last weapon
2 build sg
3 build dispenser

Left arrow - Backward
down arrow - strafe left
right arrow - strafe right
don't ask, but it's just more comfortable, you should try it sometime...
shift - jump
/ - duck
mouse1 - gren1
mouse2 - fire

Thats my basic layout, have different mouse binds for different classes...

mousewheel up - throw flag, ;] if any of you haven't tried mousewheel up or down for tossing the flag, it works like a charm. Use is mouse4 my right side button. GG 5 button intelli optical. I heart this mouse 4E. Best mouse. With a cord, wireless ones blow.

Elite Setup:

mouse1 = fire
mouse2 = jump
mouse3 = primary grenade
keypad end = use
keypad ins = lastinv
keypad del = secondary grenade

up arrow = forward
down arrow = backwards
left arrow = strafe left
right arrow = strafe right

mwheelup = primary/secondary weapon switch
mwheeldown = +reload*

shift = +attack2
ctrl = duck

enter = voicecomm*
end = vgui

Notes:
*I recently got a reload script that I liked, so I'm thinking of making my wheeldown a toggle between voice record on/off. For example, roll the wheeldown once for it to start recording, then again for it to stop.
