Ctlan 2.0 will take place on October 10th-12th with a location to be determined (most likely the Hartford Marriott again as we liked their setup). Prices are not definite at this time as we are brining in some sponsors. The event will be 2 days this time and will start on Friday night and run straight thru Sunday evening. The following Monday is a Columbus day so we hope most people will have the day off so they can rest. Since this event will be the span of a few days, I’m going to talk to hotels and the location where the event is held to get some discount pricing. The games slated to be there is TFC, BF1942, and maybe CS if we have enough interest. Our current sponsor is SoBe beverages, and we are looking to talk to Bawls and a few other hardware providers. If bawls has a problem with SoBe (I don’t think they will) then SoBe will be the one staying. More information coming as the month goes on.
PS: We can also help any other lan event in the area as we purchased the switches outright for future events. If anyone else wants to contribute ideas, I’m all ears.

I personally look foward to this very much so. The preparation time involved for this sort of an event is quite large, and this time we have that time interval for planning and the actual setting up.

Indeed, I look forward to this as well. We will be occupied in the months ahead with planning and organizing this event. Hopefully, the cookies will come en masse. :D

I'm down. I usually don't drink, due to the fact that I tend to get a little out of control. But I know all the hot spots in Hartford. It will be a good time I am sure. I will more then likely be staying at the Marriot or wherever it is going to be held. /me goes to find a local gym for 3 days.

I know I'm going to get hell from the TFC community, but I'm looking for people that play CS that live in Connecticut. I need some help with getting CS'ers involved as we would like to invite them to the CTlan. Please email me at Redman061@prodigy.net or find me in #pointblank on gamesnet. I'm rooted in TFC but we want to have some CS tournaments as well. As far as other games, I can't wait to kill Puck in BF1942!

hey Redman, if you check out #connecticut on gamesnet, a whole lot of CT CSers hang out there. i dont know what any of them are like...never talked to any of them, or anything like that. but that might be a good place to start if you want them.:cool:

Try Meriden Ramada, there is also a court yard marriot in wallingford that is pretty large.
Sorry blue I live in Connecticut.
Goku is in New Jersey maybe you can contact him and hook up. Stabtwistpull is out of upstate New York so he could be another option. :)

The CTlan is going to eb pushed back to March. The contract for October 10-12 was very high risk. Puck and I talked it over and figured it would be better to push it back. I'm going to probably get the same place we had last time. I will have it confirmed within a couple of days. I would like to thank DOOM and Huddy for helping us out with scouting places since I'm stuck in work half the time.
