Can anyone make a remake of monkey_l and add a door to the front of it? seriously I want that for my server

Add a battlement area, then move a respawn up there and take away the spam bag. Next make a way to go from battlements to flag, and then put some trigger push's in the water so you go faster like in bases. Now you have an ownage map.

Now that'd be sweet. I'm gonna ask the map's author if I can modify it, actually... I've always wondered how that map would play if it had a balc entry.

heh... tried the decompile, just to see what I'd be up against... it'd be faster to delete half the base and reconstruct it manually than to just fix what's there... wheeeee :D But if it opened the map up a little bit and made for some variation in tactics, I think it'd be worth it.

Heh, who said I would do the door? I don't see how it would improve the flow of the map at all, that would only make that entry easier to defend from inside by a solds or a demo, and would make it easier to D from outside as a fatty. If I get permission to modify it, or a lack of response from cheese, my goal will be to discourage clans from stacking half their D on the front door, not to make it a more effective option than it was before. Besides that, I'd try to keep the original aesthetics of the map mostly intact, and a front door would ruin that. :)

I was considering doing this myself and I eventually decided that adding a front door would hurt the map more than help :(

It'd be useful in pubs where 3 people play fd though

Door would do nothing to help, but adding a battlements (extra entrance) would improve the map tenfold.

sofa check this out maybe you know those 2 stair things in yard on left and right at fd make an entrance there that leads to that ramp that leades to the nade pack... that way fd D has to move back more...i dunno a thought

Monkey definately doesnt need a door. Only change it needs is a push entity in the water route to make it a more viable route to attack by.

Take the doors all out so its like a bad respawn gun of ownage around every corner. Or better yet, put the opposite teams respawn in the respawns so people don't hor the respawns.. Get your arse out or die and try to get out again =p
