I know the CPL is about gaming.

But can we trade files over the network?
I know we probably will be prohibited to show any adult material since there will be youngsters.

But can we swap files if your not playing that round or something?

This might seem like a stupid Q, but I'd rather be safe than sorry.

If you mean swapping COPYRIGHTED MATERIAL, then no. That is heavily frowned upon.

I'd just bring a few blank cds if your up for trading. Anything passing through the CPL network could cause them trouble (as with most universities are getting flack about their students using their network for file trading)

Correct. You cannot share anything copywrited or illegal over our network.

You will have connection to the internet for IRC and such, but you will not be able to connect to outside servers.

and if the connection is anything like last summer/winter with that many PC's trying to get on it it is dialup speeds at best.

A thousand PCs, HLTV + shoutcast on one pipe can do that.
