That was my first thread.

Nothing has changed except for the OS (now winxp pro).

I decided to change os's to see if i can could fix my problem.
Well guess what it didnt :(.

EVERYTHING is updated i still lock up in hl and blizzard games. Im starting to think that it might be a hardware issue but im not sure.

Is there any program that can tell me if my motherboard / gfx card / etc is faulty?

Also would updating the BIOS help any? thanks.

And for una - i now have a 400W ps

Quick edit i just put diablo 2 on directdraw (2D) and it works fine. So maybe it has something to do with Direct3d?

im gonna try those thx una... About flashing the bios though. I was going to update and followed ASUS instructions on how to flash the bios...but um how the hell do i get it to boot from floppy (under xp)?

I have never done this before so :(

*EDIT* erm under agp drive str mine is currently set to pctrl C and nctrl E. Should i change this still? thanks.

to boot under the floppy do this -> open up my computer -> right click on 3 1/2 floppy A -> format -> make ms-dos boot disk. After doing that copy the BIOS .bin file and the flashing program to the disk. After that it is simple as pie. Dont forget to write down the old BIOS name and the new one b4 doing so.

I made it and copied the files as you said. How the hell do i boot from the disk? I restarted and nothing came up.

was the floppy in the disk drive? also is ur floppy drive at the top of your "boot order" that can be configured in your BIOS?
