Our new world rests on order...
I spy, with my little eye, three key words. Also, he states that "terrorism is a new and deadly virus..." Terrorism is nothing new, and Blair should definitly know this (see: Northern Ireland).

How long has Northern Ireland been associated with terrorism? I mean... I know there have been problems for quite some time... but for how long could it really be classified as terrorism?
When he says new... I do not think he's referring to just the last couple of decades... but at least the last century.. Especially since he makes so many references to the old Europe... During the colonial and empire building era(s).
And what three key words are you referring to? "Our new world"? "rests on order"? "Our... world... order"?
And I don't necessarily see a problem. We are in a totally different world... especially compared to 40... 30... and even 20 years ago. There is only one super power left... The battles will most likely not be fought on "home soil" ( in relation to any major power. e.g. USA, UK, FR, Russia, etc.. ). The world is moving more and more toward capitalism... Something that we could ( should? ) take pride in. Something that America ( Western culture? ) could claim as its own... At least in its current form. "Our" may have been a little arrogant (ok... more than a litle), but its not necessarily damning either.

September 11 was not an isolated event, but a tragic prologue, Iraq another act, and many further struggles will be set upon this stage before it's over.
Nice way to open the speech.
I thought Blair was level headed, but I guess not. He is preaching of new precedents, world orders, and the paradise on the horizon when his actions wreak of historical repetition. Blair needs to see a psychiatrist about that megalomania before it gets out of hand...
And then reflect on this: How hollow would the charges of American imperialism be when these failed countries are and are seen to be transformed from states of terror to nations of prosperity, from governments of dictatorship to examples of democracy, from sources of instability to beacons of calm?
What an asshole. This is all we hear from Blair: he wants us to pat his back for unaccomplished goals just because we can see past the horizon.
You know what I see over the horizon? The land behind us.
And why has the resolution of Palestine such a powerful appeal across the world? Because it embodies an evenhanded approach to justice, ...
Evenhanded? Oh man, way to pick the absolute last word in the dictionary he should be using.
I couldn't get past that part. Too hard to read this unjustifiably optimistic drivel

Yea, can you imagine Bush standing up every week in front of all of the opposition, getting grilled, and having to answer back in some sort of intelligent way like Blair has to in their system?
I love watching CSPAN. It would be pure comedy.
