Troops to Liberia?

I think it would be a great move for the United States and for George Bush to save some face and send troops into Liberia. Post thoughts please, as I like learning from you people.

The UN has asked for US intervention in the issue. Many Liberians, including both of the fighting factions, want the US to intervene in some way. I think the US should lead an international peacekeeping force there.

I don't find it surprising that Liberia wants US help; Liberia was founded by freed slaves in the 18th century. We should follow France's example in Ivory Coast and protect our daughter countries.
