i have a gf2 mx400 :( and am looking to go up to the gf4 ti series
or the fx series.
the problem is, i keep seeing these threads on how motherboards, powersupplies, cpus, etc may not have the power to power the new cards.
how would i know if mine can power the upper cards wihtout actually buying it and trying it.
also, would it be better to get the gf4 4400, 4600, 4800, or the gf fx 5600. Trying to keep it around the 200 dollar range.
and yes i read the FAQ part of this and it answered the question if 5600 is worth it. but what about the 4600 and 4800 compared to the 4400?
Specs:
---------
AMD Athlon XP 1600
ASUS MotherBoard A7M266
AGP 4x
512MB 2100 DDR
Maxtor 60GB HD
Power Supply 300w (i believe)
Windows XP Home Edition
if u need more let me know.
thanks
