I've got a laptop w/ a DVD/CDRW drive, and it runs pretty much flawless except for one problem..

The drive reads the following media fine.

CD-R w/ Data
DVD-R
CD-RW

But when I try to put in a blank CD-R, Windows XP Pro refuses to accept its a blank CD.

None of my Recording software reads it either, and Windows's pathetic "record to CD wizard" cant find it either.
The drive is a MatshitaUJDA740, and the laptop is from www.netlux.com

I havent found any drivers, and Panasonic (Thats what the keyword serach on google let me to for Matshita) doesnt have this in their troubleshooting.

If anyone can help, PLZ!

Laptop Specs
2.4 Ghz P4
512 DDR Ram
64 Mb Geforce4 Go440
60gb HD
Windows XP Professional w/ SP1a (Legal copy and key)

Well I thought that was a problem, so went down to work and got the copeous amounts of CD-R we have there. Same problem.

CD/RW it works fine, slower because its CD-RW, but just fine.
