windows start up problem

im running windows XP prof. and when ever i start my computer it asks me if i want to run windows XP prof. or if i want to run an unidentified operating system on drive C.. i just reformatted and there is no other OS on there. I just want windows to run normaly everytime..BTW i had this problem before when i had windows XP Home too :(

So you've never had two OS's on the same hard drive?
I was talking to Incubus about this earlier, and if you ever have had two OS's on the same HardDrive, you need to clear out the "Master Boot Record" or file. I don't really know that much about the above stated, but maybe someone that does can take it from here.
