Weird C++ Visual error when running AIM on new comp

Just got a new computer, i can upload specs if you want, but its a P4 2.8 with 512 ram, win xp, and a gforce 5200 fx.

After running aim for 10-15 minutes, I'll get a weird error that says, in short...

Unexpected Microsoft Visual C++ runtime error
and then it lists some random numbers.

anyone know whats up?

run windows update, get the .net service packs

dled everything i could at windows update, and reinstalled aim... still does it. The aim box is also missing certain parts of the display, such as the stock ticker and the AOL icon itself, since that might be part of the problem.

I get that with aim all the time, except its only when I clone aim a few times.
