From the MLF Site News: http://mlf.majorleagueonline.com

After joining late in the season, ][nsurrection came on strong. [TCK] went thru some mid season troubles and the clan folded. CornPops somehow kept the teams name alive and it played in MLF the rest of the season as a open team.
Tonite both clans faced off to become the first ever MLF Champions. They would battle on the rarely used but very cool map Mortality_l. Round 1 ][ barely hung on for a 40-30 win. Round 2 saw some minor changes to the rosters but was enough to give ][ the round 2 win 40-10 and the overall. Congrats to Impaler and the entire ][nsurrection team for winning the MLF Summer 2003 Championships.
Look for the MLF Hall of Champions to open very soon. ][ recieves first place of $200 and [TCK] recieves $125 for 2nd. Great job to both clans, for tearing up the league all season.
For season 2 look for two Pro ladders one a 5v5 for guilds and mutt teams and a 8v8 or 9v9 ladder for clans wanting to get the matchs reported to KSE.
Sign up and stay tuned for Pro Payout formula and schedule and maybe a league night change. If your team wants to join but not on Tuesdays, let Dugan or myself (Racer) know what night you want the league switched to.

Congratulations to ][ for winning the MLF Season 1 Playoffs and $200. MLF would also like to thank TCK and DI for staying onboard this season. We hope you enjoy the $125 and $100 respectivly.

So, for all clans interested in an Tuesday night (9:00 PM ET) 8vs8 style league that pays it's playoff winners then come check out MLF! Guild or Clan, we have room for all with two divisions based on multiclanning.

Well before people were mainly concerned that we wouldn't pay clans. Now that we have that all cleared up I think people aren't joining because of a lack of knowledge of the league and stereotypes that just because it is new it isn't going anywhere. That arguement isn't true, for example look at UGC. Only a year old but now hosting matches for over 100 TFC teams.

Another arguement is that the gameplay is going to be horrible with money on the line. Just ask TCK, ][, and DI... they played for fun and didn't encounter foulplay.

Yet another arguement is that there are too many leagues. Really? Tuesday only hosts STA 5vs5 and UGC 1vs1 and Wednesday only has TFL 5vs5 and UGC 5vs5. Also, polls have been conducted here and the majority of people would like to see another 8vs8 style weeknight league.

And lastly, people think that the league is for n00bs. Actually no, we are looking forward to it being ranked on KSE soon, we have some great teams, and the only way the league will have more skill in it is for more skillfull clans and players to start joining it.

We have solid rules, a good maplist, some skillful teams, dedicated admins, an organized website and forums, and we pay playoff winners. What are you waiting for? The signups are simple too!

It takes a while for leagues nowadays to get clans. Getting the base bronze/silver equivalent clans is where you have to start at before the top10-20 clans will really get into joining it.

^ Def something clans should considder, great league, organized, plus $, where does TFL and STA have money in them??
/me looks around

These guys are great. I signed -DI- up for MLF around oh god, i must have been christmass time, and we stuck with them the whole way. Its really nice because they play TFL maps every other week, so you can get to learn it if you haven't already. I don't really see why a clan wouldn't sign up for this, its free money guys, no entry fee, no gimick, just go out there an play every tuesday night for an hour.

The only problem we had was the first match we played for the MLF, vs I won't tell who for their sake, but on round2 they braught in a wall/aim hacker. We went to their pub chan and gave them match info, and within a minuite they had 3 admins in spectating the dude.
