POTW AVI

[PF.Vega]

Here is my first 'polished' attempt at an AVI, so be gentle. I just started learning Premier, et al, this week, so if you have any suggestions on transitions, music, etc, please post them. Footage is from this Monday's STA Titanium Title Shot Match, PF vs RA on mulch_trench.

Also, if anyone can help with 2-pass+ encoding with DivX and Premier, please reply or hit me up in IRC. Thanks and enjoy!

i myself was trying to get into AVI making and did a little potw thing aswell. Yours however is a lot better with editing etc.. i dont even have music in mine :( but anyways here it is.

its too bad the quality wasnt that great, 1800 kbps is a little high
but like u said u should get someone to help u with that 2-pass encoding, im trying to learn on that as well.

The music was Tool - Lateralus, chopped up to try and make the A/V synch somewhat. I originally started out with DJ Shadow - Organ Donor [extended overhaul], and then Mr. Oizo - Feadz On, but everyone seemed to want some type of rock. I thought all three worked out great, shrug.

I liked the AVI, but to be honest, I couldn't tell what was going on until the words "triple conc?" came on.

Even after watching it, I thought that that was one guy that did a triple, not 2 guys and a well placed accidental conc.

Maybe a bit more story telling and setup. Now that I understand it, it looked very nice and fun.

I liked the logo in the beginning. I think it would have been better without the OmGZ TRIPLE CONC text, but if you put it in slow motion I think it would look better. That may be just me but I don't like text unless it has A/V sync, or the avi couldn't be done without the text. Very nice if you just learned Premiere this week. I'll be willing to answer any questions you have or help you if you are interested =o I learned premiere by trial and error and it took me a loooooong time. Not to mention how much I cursed off the program and punched walls.
