Well, I usually don't tryout for a clan, I usually get invited because it's a good group of guys I know that I like....

One of the hardest clan tryouts ive ever seen, was (!)'s medic tryout. 4v1 o_l, 2 solja's hw and an engy. not to many ppl capped, but a few passed, heh

yeah i tried out for omni a year ago too i think it was pretty difficult. i dont know how i passed i only got the flag to the yard

Long long time ago.
It was about a week after the patch came out that stoped skimming and limited bhop. (i forget the patch version)

Tryout as D soldier for Kollektiv

I was to guard the bottom lift on 2fort.
There were 3 against me:
Zon - medic
TremanN - soldier
and another medics name who I can't remember.

They sat at the top of the lift and healed eachother to 150hp then droped one after another, med first, Tre second, then Zon last, they droped so close together that I couldn't find time to ever resup. I think it was about a 5min tryout and the 2nd medic got past like 5 times. I failed.

I quit tfc like a week after that because of the patch (i was a bhop whore) and failing the clan that I wanted in tryout happening in the same week. I have just recently started playing again. (I used to be Stranglehold, maybe some of you remember me from my Phat Farm whore days)

RA tryout.

not because it was super hard what i had to do, but because i was a noname trying to get into a top tier clan. i made it harder on myself worrying so much.

1. 4v4 push - with 8 other people trying out -( soldier only as they were only recruiting 1 soldier )

2. got called out of push had to send 2 demos of match play

3. had to go and 1v1 2v1 on various maps i think 3 total 2fort RR/TopSpiral Ofire and sd2

4. had to wait for all the members to vote on me

it took like 2-3 days most stressful 2-3 days in my TFC 'career' (hate saying career but no other word goes in good lol)

noone ever capped on that tryout. antwan didnt, one person got it to the Y, one got it to the water. no tryoutee ever capped on it.


edit-also this was bhop era, 4 D was actually not that hard to cap off of if you knew what you were doing.

I remember the tryout being a team thing, 4v4 or 5v4 maybe I forget which. But a hard tryout (Not the hardest I don't know them all) would be Koopatroop's. For offense anyways, its 2v3. Two soldiers 1 demoman, and if the soldier is Jax. Your going to be getting knocked around with rockets to the face, almost everytime.

that was our old T4R and old old omni tryout. We revamped it after seeing how amazingly flawed the tryout was into the OvD format in which you participated in.

I would have to say the Old School {AOD} tryouts. Why was it hard? not only did they tryout skills but they rode you hard. So it was a test of skill and mind :)

The ^ni tryout is really hard, its 3v1 well, and there is a soldier at the fd.

D shoulda had a demo. So few O players know how to deal with decent D demos these days without killing the demo.

we used Tear having a dispenser on the flag, her detting was...well rather scary lol.

But yes the only problem we had with that was it would make it pretty much impossible to get the flag out period. Maybe drop a D or something

i passed the T4R tryout as soldier; therefore it wasn't hard :)
<3 doc, old school T4R/(!) was the greatest except for the fact i never got to play sold again after my first 2 matches of playing it :(:(:(:(:( drlove really is an asshole :mad:

when i tryed out for the old [ELB] it was 1v4 on plank as soldier on sd2

vs a sold, demo, and 2 meds

hard as hell

oracle was the O demo :(

Made me do tryout as solly? Really the strangest thing I ahve ever seen. Needless to say I failed the tryout and did not get into RE. I still to this day do not understand why I was tried out as a soldier when the only class I play for defense is engineer and I put that in my recruitment email.

I don't really remember my tryout for DR. I think I just kinda played hw and medic and soldier vs. a few of them and got in... XW's tryout was really easy if I remember correctly.

3) Nope failed it multiple times. This was when bigga was around and he made us play on some box near his house. I pinged around 130 and he made us do lots of det drills. that made it hard :/ and hence me sucking multiply by my already suckiness

Right after going public about old CNBL forming a clan I said wth. Wonka got me a tryout. Well I had to play D vs Dion, Kab, Fubar, Halcyon, Bomber, Concolor and whoever else they felt like throwing at me. The fucked up part it was crossover 2 and I played the flag. Very fun. I wasnt that good in the tryout but I made some plays that showed promise. I had good rocket aim just my timing sucked playing against players of that caliber who moved fast instead of DM'ing like lower level clans offenses usually did back then.

I ended up helping Wingnut keep us running and competitve until my time was ate up with RL.

I have to say the VD tryout not a clan obviously but soldier/scout going at you with the scout concing you almost every other run makes it impossible especially when it was NoX/blink :eek:

Tryout for KAR a long time ago, MassacrE was running the tryout. It was me as HW guy against two scouts on well. I was supposed to stop the scouts from getting in the front door, and they had a sniper keeping the door open.

That wasn't fun at all. I actually made it till second round but then KAR ended. It was a few years ago at least.

Har. And THAT was after the guild had already watered down, man. It was worse before. Z used to have to go MM2 to the guys to go easier. =P
