need help demoman

someone posted a thread about this before but couldnt seem to find it im looking for help with demoman im gonna be making it my secondary class and possibly switch it to 1st class (when i get good enough :) )
umm is their any good demomen like tS BSU quality that could help me out ..with the help of meth (my love slave) he pointed me to some new demomen xhairs and now my blue pipe aim is pretty good ;) so if you can help me out teach me a few things im in any of the chans under my sig and ermm just pm or leave me a chan/your irc name and ill pm you thx :)

i can give you a few tips:


1) if you're piping something, never take your eye off it
2) pay attention to every entrance to the room you're in so you can follow any enemies that come in
3) if you're playing D, and the other team has a good offense, chances are you're gonna die a lot. never die with a grenade in your possession, keep priming those mofos
4) dont rely on another person on your team, like a soldier or SG because they wont always save your ass

offensive demo:

1) see above about using all your grenades
2) setup some fancy pipe/doublepipe jumps to fly around and mirv stuff

cant think of much else for O demo, i dont play it much. for bluepipe aim a lot of people will tell you to pub using nothing but blues, it helps for some people but not always.

don't listen to 99% of advice given and play a lot.

Everyone has there only little things they do, and that stuff doesn't work for everyone. Develope your own style of play and roll with it. If you want to see how some demo's work go to demo garage ( http://www.demogarage.com/demos.php )in the 9 v 9 league section and search/look around. Seriously though, nothing beats experience.

Yeah, they're right. I may have been required to post a smart-ass response, and I did, but the only way to learn is to do. You can't really learn much beyond 'okay, you det your pipes when they'll hurt people' in plain text. skeelz tried to tell me that forever, and I never really got it. =P

You could ask the demoman in our clan, you know the one, the one we are both in. He is pretty good. Maybe not in those guilds but he does a good job.

Just learn to spread and conseve pipes...

Thats the only real tip I could give ya. Like on O-fire... don't clump all the pipes directly onto the button cause one fake out (or the double fake) and you've exploded them without causing any damage to the O.

As far as being conservative with pipes... if the flag is out in the open and you haven't seen any O in a bit... you got the flag piped, BOOM it goes off, now don't rapidly blow all 6 right back onto it cause after that you might have to det again and now you have 0 pipes loaded incase of the mysterous, magically appearing 3'rd Offenive member comes out of the wood work. Normally I put 4 down and save the rest so I could at least wound that third person.

Make interesting, fun, and specialiazed tryouts - which leads to alot of ppl coming for tryouts
Do tryouts alot and be nice so you get good referrals which then leads to more tryouts

Watch demos from good players, and practice alot. Demo is a very difficult class to play effectively. I used to go into 32 man servers and just play till i figured out how to bank/use physics to my advantage. Its fun and rewarding once you can do it on a consistant basis. I uploaded a pretty decent d demo to www.demogarage.com a while back, check out stryder's o demo as well, good offensive dm stuff.
