View Full Version : GBC Broadcasting Summer CPL TFC

Calling all TFC'ers:

If it isn't obvious to most of you who travel to LAN's, this is most likely TFC's last stand at the CPL. GBC is working very hard to see to it that TFC does not go quietly from the CPL!!

GBC will be providing all the music for the CPL Pentium 4 Summer Championship. We'll be broadcasting live at the BTDO NVIDIA T-shirt contest, to the start of registration, to every aspect and detail of the TFC BYOC Tournament, the case mod competition, the CPL press conference... the list goes on and on. GBC will be bringing you as many highlights of the CPL as possible LIVE. Our streaming begins late Tuesday evening, the 29th. We have secured additional relays for this event which enables us to accomodate over 2,500 listeners at present.

Rumor Control: There is a possibility that the 1st place winning team of the TFC BYOC Tourney may walk away with some handsome prizes. I can't say what just yet, but the prizes have a greater value than that of the Telex speakers given away at CPL Winter 02. Stay tuned for details.

GBC Sports will be giving away T-shirts to some of the TFC'ers attending. We have many things planned and in store for the TFC BYOC, including a snark racing tournament for the old schoolers.

In short, I personally hope you'll tune in during the event. GBC is working very hard to bring you the best coverage possible for the CPL. The TFC tournament, all its teams, the matches, the maps, the scores, the interviews... we're going to bring it to you all. Every tfc player should sport a GBC shirt the entire 5 days. That would be cool :)

No, no washing it. That might whipe some of the leetness of it off. Wear it proudly and smellily (good word). But seriously people make sure you tune into GBC during the CPL there will be some crazy stuff going on and we will be bringing you all the breaking news LIVE. The time is comming closer and I can't wait a minute longer. !#!%$@T

We just need to make sure that the matches are schedualed at the same time as the CS ones and that our speakers are louder :P And to act excited the whole time so the CS'ers feel that they have something to gain from TFC (Cause we all know CS can only be played in 15 minute incraments before it becomes repedatively boring) This said, good luck to all at CPL, have some fun, and support GBC!

An update from the CPL:

GBC is here and ready to kick some serious ass. We'll be beginning our live stream shortly.

The TFC tournament starts tomorrow morning. We'll be bringing you every match we can. Every night at 10 PM EST we'll be bringing you a wrap-up of the day's TFC action, hosted by Gunslinger and Stickgod. They'll bring you each day's TFC results, as well as tons of live interviews with TFCers. If you can't catch every match, definately tune in to the wrap-up show each night.

We'll also be bringing you coverage of almost everything going on around the CPL besides TFC. Some events of note include the nVidia and Intel workshops, where some MAJOR prizes will be given away.

GBC will also be broadcasting the CPL Press Conference on SATURDAY at 2 PM EST. Some major announcements regarding the future of the CPL will be made. Definately tune in.
