dallas party scene

does anyone who reads these forums know the dallas party/rave scene? i know some people who would hit it up, depending on what you guys know. lemme know either here or in irc

haha dallas party scene = minimal. for raves and shit u either need to go to Houston, or some where 2 hours in the sticks.

there are bars around downtown, but i believe u are under 21, and Texas cops are crazy about giving MIPs

Hopefully you also know your self-worth isn't based on your ability to "destroy" people, either in TFC or real-life. No offense intended, however, just found the statement amusing, although I understand the point you were trying to make.

On the actual topic at hand, I have very little knowledge, sorry to say. I've only been to Texas once and I'm not at all into the rave scene, so no clue on that ground. As far as bars go the section of Dallas I would describe as "uptown" is very nice for what you're looking for, but if I remember correctly all the bars are 21+, so bring ID if that's what you're looking for. Spotting out of state fake ID = rather difficult for most. That being said I spent the majority of my time in San Antonio and found it far more enjoyable than Dallas, so I can't say much else.

Take a deep breath, ready? The only reason I mentioned his personal appearance was because of his jab at Solo. I don't bring up anyone's personal appearance on this board and I do my best to never drag it into a conversation seeing as how it has nothing to do with an arguement on the internet. Before you rush to Massacre's defense next time make sure you have some idea what the arguement/flame is about, the same thing you're accusing me of doing is exactly what he did to Solo.

I never made an insult to solos personal appearance fucko, I commented regarding a picture I saw of solo and focus in a summer roller hockey league that was no contact with solo being the only person on the entire team and in the picture wearing shoulder pads in a non contact roller league.

Like most places a decent beer is $3, good liquor is $5, parking's like $8, cover is gonna be somewhere betweeen $10 and $20 a club, so pack someone else's credit card or a lotta cash if you really want to make a night of it. (Sorry, they don't take that canadian crap down here. :))

I also highly recommend The Red Jacket (http://www.madnights.com/venDetail.cfm?ID=45). It's in Lower Greenville, but the best bar/club that side of Austin's Sixth Street. Been there twice (I think. gg alcohol.) Fair prices and ALWAYS an attractive crowd.

Deep Ellum is a "Cruise the bars" kinda scene, Lower Greenville is a "Pick a club & party all night" place.

Me personally, I'll go if there are a lot of 21+ers looking to go, but I'm just as fine chilling a couple cases in an igloo of ice and watching Happy Gilmore or something...

As far as raves and sh*t, go watch Strong Bad's "The System is Down", laugh real hard, and get a new hobby. :/
(I'll make a couple calls closer to July and see what I can find out. I know a couple kids who spin in the D/FW area. Maybe they know something going down in the eX & glowsticks realm.)

No, seriously, the area of D/FW you'll be in will really only have UNT and SMU chicks around. Univ. of North Texas girls usually are a bit on the plain side and Southern Methodist chicks are too fine, too rich, and too busy for guys that spend their free time playing a computer game! :p
I mean come on, if you don't get any at home, you won't get any in Dallas. Even if you DO get it at home, I still see little reason to think you would around here. Texas women are beautiful, but most (I'll admit not all.) are fairly cagey and rather conservative.
