Well, I'm really pondering the idea of selling my subwoofer and my amp because well sometimes I just get tired of the bump nah mean?
Anyway, I waas just wondering if I should get Gamecube or Xbox. I'll probably wait till the 27th I think for Soul Calibur 2... but whichever system you name please name some games for it.
(BTW theres no need in saying Playstation 2, been there done that. Sports games are great on it though, but I traded my PS2 for my subwoofer)

Depends what you want from it.
If you want a system with good graphics, online support, and decent titles, I would go with the xbox. However there are only a few games that have, or will be, chart toppers on the xbox. Most of the XBOX's games are third party, and not as good as the PS2's third party developers.
Gamecube on the other had is kinda an iffy system, I love mine. In fact I have all three systems, and gamecube is by far the best 'single player' system. Plus if you like Nintendo's characters and stuff, it's great.
So, I would say, if your looking to play games with good story lines, and that are fun single player adventures, gamecube is your system.
If your looking for a system that has a decent amount of games, and will be fun with some buddies, or even online, go with the xbox.

Go with the cube, for sure. Nintendo has rules consoles longer than Sony or Microsoft, they've got the expierence. Plus there's all sorts of nifty addons for the GC. Don't hold me on this, but I think that GC has more games then XBox also, by a lot. Anyways, GC has Super Smash Bros. Melee, which is possibly my favorite fighting / party game of ALL TIME! Plus Soul Caliber 2 you get Link only on the GC version.

This is an interesting topic... other topics have been discussed lately.
Would you rather be shot in the face with a bazooka (gamecube) or have sex with 3 playboy bunnnies (xbox)
Would you rather get AIDS because you slept with monkies (gamecube) or win the $100 million powerball (xbox)
Would you rather spend the rest of your life in the arms of a very large, stinky, hairy gay man (gamecube) or would you rather have "Jedi Force powers" (xbox)
Those questions are as close to the equivelant of what you asked as I could come up with...of course...your question was about 10000x more off the wall.

If your looking for single player experience, go with the Cube. As for multiplayer, it depends on what type of multiplayer you want. If you want online multiplayer, then Xbox is your only choice really. On the other hand, 2-4 player multiplayer for games like Mario Party and Super Smash Bro's on the cube is fun as hell.

xbox doesnt compare in the least...gamecube is the way to go. i own over a dozen gamecube games that arent available on any other system and they are some of the best games ive ever played. its no competition. xbox has less than 5 games that look even remotely interesting.

Well, FPS are inferior on consoles... Keyboard + Mouse + 256 MB GFX Card = Halo will look great if MS ever releases and so will all the next gen games. I wouldn't pay $100 or w/e for the xbox + 50 or 60 for Halo 2 just to play Halo 2... Seems kind of stupid. XBox doesn't have many good games.

i had both but i liked my xbox a lot more. great single and multiplayer games albeit like some said maybe not as many as ps2 but it still has over 200 games.
you asked to recommend games, ill give you the best from several genres that ive played.
fps: halo
basketball: nba street volume 2
football: ncaa football 2k3 (2k4's out havent tried it thought)
fighting: dead or alive 3
rpg: star wars knights of the old republic
xgames: tony hawk pro skater 4
racing: sega something forget name, it got stolen from me :(
and also splinter cell not sure what genre that is.
all very good games for single player (except doa3) and multiplayer (except splinter cell and star wars kotor)
price isnt an issue for you, but xbox costs the same $200 as gamecube but also comes with an extra controller and 2 free games

it depends if you're the kind of guy to say "lololol nintendo kiddy games" or not. theres a good library of the classic nintendo games for gamecube already that could keep you busy for the next 6 months or so. i dont own an xbox but there has been a few games that looked decent to me. i'm hearing nothing but good things about KOTOR, however that'll be on PC soon.
ps xbox is so huge lolororlfolf

X-box: Powerful machine, hard-drive, knockdown graphics, weak library with some good third-party games, will likely be in business in a year or two. Excellent online support with live functionality.
Cube: Some great first-party titles, though only two champs(Metroid and Zelda), cube is already a thing of the past in NOA's mind as they ramp up development on their next gen. Pathetic install-base compared to competition makes for less titles and luke warm third-party support. Graphics though supposedly not as good as box look better, especially lighting. Much cheaper.

I like my Cube very much, and other than Halo. I've never played a game on Xbox that's caught my attention for very long. I do wanna try KoToR though.

Xbox has Halo omg omg, so fucking what... Half Life 2 will be coming out for the pc very soon here and I can almost assure you that Halo will not even compare. It also has KoToR which should be coming out for pc before long as well. Oh and Halo will be coming out for the pc as well, so no need to get an Xbox just for that ;)
Cube is great for multiplayer, with Super Smash Brothers, Super Monkey Ball 1 and 2, and Mario Golf out now. Along with Mario Kart, Starfox 2, and F-Zero coming out in the very near future. Then there is Zelda, Metroid, Eternal Darkness, Mario and the Rogue Squadron games for a good single player experience.
Plus the GC is only 100 bucks and I believe you still get a free game with it. Cheaper system, better games go with the cube :)
Edit: Forgot to add that you can also buy the Gameboy Player for the Cube and voila 3 systems in 1

you guys don't understand, don't bring pc into a console debate. halo2 will be an extremely good game, regardless of what half-life2 will do.

get an xbox, I have both systems and xbox has:
A. Better Graphics
B. Better Games
C. Xbox can be modded and you can do virtually anything like play backups, put on linux and media players...
F. They're very close in price now so go with the xbox
BTW if you wanna get your box modded I installed a no solder chip and a solder chip (and I was a soldering n00b when I installed it, solder modchip is very easy to install) pm me in #clan46&2 if you're interested in modding :D
