XP Mouse question

question, are there any known causes for mouse glitches in XP?
i used this same mouse with 2k with no problems however in xp in hl it tends to pause and stop moving, ive tried two different mouses with the same problem.

any thoughts would be nice

its the XP mouse glitch, and has been taken care of in the FAQ, look under mice/keyboard i think. or maybe just under HL
