I've been having this problem for a while now. Whenever I try to make a LAN to play on by myself, I barely get in 10 seconds before it restarts the map. I get one error all the time: Skipping reconnect on "server name" No pvPrivateDate. The other one I get is. Can't find overviews for "x" map, will use default values. Obviously, not all maps come with overviews, so I don't understand if that is or isn't causing a problem. The main problem seems to be with the first error message I get. I've noticed it doesn't happen when I stay still...strange I know. But as soon as I move it seems to occur. Hope someone can help.

this "Can't find overviews for "x" map, will use default values" isnt why its happening. Thats mainly for HLTV i think and will not effect anything outside it.

"Skipping reconnect on "server name" No pvPrivateDate"
my guess(and its just that), is your trying to host a hltv on a lan.

Make sure your shortcut is pointing to hl.exe and not hltv.exe.

the kids in the tech forum may be better suited to help you.

The second problem, overviews, wont be causing a problem at all. It's just simply the view you see when you look at the map in spectator with Picture In Picture turned on (Shows overhead of map instead of green and black lines)

The first problem I can't tell you about, sorry.

I'll check it out. Would I still be able to run tfc if I just decided to get rid of my HLTV stuff. I never ever use it. rofl except for when I watch demoes. Scratch that, going to tech forums! But anyone else with an opinion please offer. I'm leaving this post here.

Checked my target line in my shortcut, and it points to hl.exe

What else could be causing this error?

Well, I found my problem. I'd hate to denote such stupidity, especially since it is about me, but...Apparently, a long time ago when I figured out you could bind a key with more that one command, in this case, your movement keys, along with reload, I did just that. +forward; +reload +moveleft; +reload, etc. Well, when I did this I forget the "+" on my back movement. So it was bound as "leftarrow" "+back; reload" thus, restarting the server. Didn't know reload was another command to restart server. LOZL!@
