New AVI

I know it was posted in the A/D avi's, but just incase people dont read that up there, theres a new lkta avi out. It's basically made up of the 3v-lkta title match on cornfield, and then some of a maya scrim.

Jarek, they're just different .wad files that I got off of custom tfc (personally i think they make the maps look better...mapmakers are gonna kill me :-)

K, my real post. One thing I would suggest is default explosions. I thought the grey explosions were a bad idea. Just by personal preference. Also, the wrenches/crowbars got kind of old after the second/first one. I would also suggest photoshop overlays for the flag icons because sometimes you couldnt even tell someone had the flag till they capped.

The only good footage was the flag on cp4 of corn. Nades look horrible. Get new ones. Awesome editing on the flag thingy though.

Yeah, i guess its kinda shitty considering somewhere between 150-250 people have downloaded it in the last 16 hours. Oh well, can't please everyone, although I was pretty impressed with CTF guys pming me earlier today to tell me that it was a "nice avi".

good job tho, good action makes a good movie, and that corn cap was a great play for your team. congrats to you. the rest of the footage was ok, a few good plays and some boring camera angles. so i guess it was the right choice to replay the one good sequence like 4 or 5 times.

rules and ethics aside, the retextures and the grenades look like ass. especially on the dustbowl scenes, my god, puke. how can you even play with that.

oh yea back to the avi :P

the thing i thought was wrong was "To win in A/D.. some clans try to spam you" then something about you being different, EVERY clan I have seen including you spams but yea... it was pretty sweet avi; nice cap saves shown, and yes he grenades look like pieces of candy or something.

props for that nice cap to 3. transitions were not bad. some of the shots throughout the movie i wasnt sure who was on which team because it just seemed like random clips of the match. using default sprites and textures prob woulda made it feel more authentic instead of somethin staged like that messed up detlaunch in the beginning.

Dude, I'm not dissin' your avi. I was giving (constructive) criticism. You make a thread, I watch your avi, I give my opinion. It's the way these things work.

And just 'cause 250 people have downloaded, doesn't mean that next time you can't do a better job (or that they somehow watched it to see if it was God's gift to tfc before they actually downloaded it).

Just chill out man. I have tremendous respect for the effort you put into your avi, the editing was pretty sweet (and whoever was that voice actor dude was pretty pimpin). So, umm, yeah, sorry I didn't make it more clear in my first post. Keep it up, and next time use better nade models (and if you want to take this as a flame, then do so, 'cause those nade models were God awful).

EDIT: If anyone puts a tl;dr response to this, I'm ripping off your head. It's not that long.

I didn't really like the textures/sprites, but it's well worth the download just the see the cap at the end.

Actually, I didnt put too much effort into it, it took me less than 2 days from start to finish. It was my first one with my new .wads, but in the other 2 avis I have the same gren sprite, the same one that I play with. I dunno, what wrong with it, its supposed to stand out and be easier to see, that's why I got it.

K well...nice action

Pros:
-Great cap saves
-Good music
-Great ending play
-The best impersonation of the movie guy voice EVAR!!!111
cons:
-Shitty ass textures and nades
-Couldn't see flag or if the person was carrying flag at times
-The explosions werent linked to music or video as well
-the wrench stuff was just kinda thrown in there to take up space

I myself liked KK's avi. It was nice and small, didn't take me that long to download it even when I'm pinging to servers with a 1400 ping this morning. I thought the "some clans need fancy jumps" and watching the detjump go awry into the door was pretty funny. I enjoyed it. Was a fun way to blow a few minutes.
