just bought a 92 acura vigor, a nice step up from my pos 94 chevy corsica, so anyways....
i was looking for things i can add to the car, like those euro style lights, and basically anything else. hoping to be able to browse through different things i can get so i can pick and choose.
the car needs work, but i needed a new hobby anyways. ;)
this is my first time looking into anything like this, so any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
*edit* also, if any1 in the nyc area needs a car, im selling my corsica for 800.00 :)

actually, the main thing i was looking for was different headlights, maybe tail lights as well, but i've been having a hard time finding em. i was also debating dropping it a small bit, still debating on how low i want to drop the car though. rims are going to come later for me but they will definitely change :) .
zechs: the car is stock, nothing has been changed on that car at all yet...

IMO, the best mods are the ones you can’t see ( performance mods ) :). But if you are going to do exterior mods just remember these two things... Altezzas and chrome are your enemies avoid them like the plague.

I don't know how much know you about cars, I'm taking a wild guess and say not very much from your posts. Plus I don't know what group of car people you want to fit into, but you should be very careful in what you get.
I can only think of three types of people that would get clear lights. To descibe the first type, I'd probably get kicked out of Catacombs for being a racist or something so I'm not even going to try. The second type, just think the sub 100 lbs eminems in your highschool. The third is the people who just got it for the hell of it, but once they found out what it really is, got rid of it as fast as they can.
A very good rule of thumb is sleepers > everything else. The people that mean anything would know the sleepers from stock. The people that mean nothing wouldn't be able to tell the bodykit car is slower than stock.
Now I really don't have anything against body mods or people that are into it. As long as they know it's a show piece and not a performance piece, everything is clear. I personally feel a bit too old to drive around in a veilside supra, but not if I was still 16-18 years old.
Unfortunatly the answer you'd get from most people that are into cars would be 'Don't bother doing anything to a Vigor' Although it might sound very snobbish (and it could very well be because they are) but even if they're being very honest with you, the answer would be the same. Unfortunatly whatever you do to it isn't going to go above a limit that could be covered much easier and cheaper with other cars. The thinking behind it is obvious that whatever money you put into that car could be used much better for another car. But then it's really hard to learn without doing things yourself and learning from your own mistakes.
Just remember if you still do want performace parts for it, there's a lot of cheaper better parts you could get like exhust and cpu, which is a much better deal than thinking things like chargers.

getting rims and tinting it will probably be the most you can do to make it look smooth. clear tail lights? defintly not the right car for it, even if they make them(if there are any they're probably cheesey as hell, like the early 90s/late 80s mustang clear taillights i've seen, holy shit those are retarded on that car)

very well said summer, and you're right, i don't know a whole lot, hence why im here hehe :D
i can understand the whole sleeper type cars, and most of the work i'd like to do would be under the hood.
but i still want it to look sorta pretty on the outside too ;)
i wasn't looking into any body kits honestly, maybe dropping it a little bit, but no body kits for me :) plus if i have any ground effects on the car, they'll just crack cause' of all the pot holes in nyc :D
but i still like the altezza lights though ;) was mainly wondering if there's anything else out there i didn't know about that i can take a look at to _maybe_ put onto the car :D
much thanks for the info though, much appreciated.
also, omg sbt wasaaaap!!!!

Chinaso, go to this site
www.sromagazine.com/boards/
If you want to convert your car doors to lambo door style, there would be someone there that could not only link you to the correct places but tell you which place will give you the better deal. Basically whatever rediculousness you want for your car, someone there would know.
The admins there are a bit strict to flaming newbies but if you go in there just completely stupid, not only would no one answer you the admins would probably join in flaming as well. (using the search feature is very useful there)
Go there and ask a simple direct question like I have (year) (make) (model) What would be the best way to spend about (x)k to make it faster.
Just be warned. Although they are a bit nicer to newbies than many other forums I've seen over the years, most of them are car snobs. They don't take well to things like altezza lights or even for that matter most Japanese cars. A lot of them are just going to tell you not to bother. Just tell them you're not planning to spend much, just enough to learn more for your next car, and you'll be more than set.
My personal opinion is aside from putting it on a diet, I don't think you can do much to it. I think finding aftermarket parts for that car is going to be a bitch because it's like an inbetween car that was not that popular to begin with.
