Don't know if this is your problem or not, but I just changed each game (TFC, CS, etc) to "do not auto download updates" in their properties in the Games menu and it fixed my problems.

having the same problem, cant get into tfc though since it won't let me, tfc says its uninstalled and doesnt appear on games, even after installing, and my nice new steam skin was erased too

when you have the main steam window, click games.
then right click each game.
There is a drop down box with only two options.

yea iceberg, and it says tfc isnt even installed

i noticed my tfc.gcf is missing and when i sintall, it doesnt create a new one... maybe someone could help me :(

doesn't forrester's fsi thingy mcbobby have the .gcf files on his site to dl separately?
