trying to install a new plugin

Well I unzipped the plugin to /plugins folder but whenever I try to put it over a clip it freezes and crashes adobe premiere. I know that the file is locked because it says so on the site. Anyway I can get around this?

What version of premiere? Is the plugin intended for the version of premiere you have?

Shine 1.0 is a fast light ray effect with many options. For Adobe After Effects 4.1 and higher, C3 and PPro.
im going to assume that PPro = premiere pro and PPro = 7.0
