sigh I get this like 80% now. I have all the recent drivers. I have reinstalled hl and tfc.

comp specs

amd xp 1800+
gf3ti200
1024 ddr ram
win2k pro

u sure it's on Default driver? if not thats why...or...have u used any hacks? opengl ones?(not syaing you use them but if u have..they can cause that problem). Also, your opengl32.dll may be bad...i'm not really sure.

I've gotten that error many times before. I tried reformatting, reinstalling, just about everything under the sun. I came to the conclusion finally that it was a memory hogging program I had installed. I was using a mIRC script called Forumthon, and when I tried to get into a game, I got that error. I switched back to plain IRC, and voila, no more error.

So in conclusion, close out any programs that may be running when you're trying to play... see what happens. If you're using a 3rd party mIRC script, get rid of it and go back with plain mIRC.

i used to get it all the time before, i formatted to XP, i heard from a friend that its an issue with AMD and win2k if thats what your running

i have sp3 actually for win2k. I also have 1024 ddr so i dotn think memory hogging ins't a problem ;o

Umm I'm really not sure. I replaced opengl32.dll with one from my other comp and it still dont work :/

Just installed 4.43 1 in 4 driver
installed nvidia driver
