Well i want to start trying 2 make an avi and i was wondering what programs i would need to make an AVI.

Videomach for sure
Virtualdub if you want...
Adobe premiere is very helpful for timing and transitions and makes avi's look a lot better
Adobe Photoshop helps too if you have still images.

ok i got all the progs an ive been playin around with them and i was wondering what duration time is good for an avi and ive been putting each frame in 1 by 1 in premiere is there any wat to load them all. Also why do people use videomach im not quite sure yet how 2 use videomach and premiere together what i mean is what do you do with each one?

videomach is used to put a bunch of BMP's into 1 avi file easily. You make this avi UNCOMPRESSED so you can then edit it with premiere. WHen you are done with premiere, that is when you compress with divx.

thnx for da info chong it helped alot an sani i took a look at tutorial some really good info but one thing thats puzzling me now is the transitions they dont seem to be showing in the avi when i try 2 put one in any1 have any ideas?

Are your clips overlapping a bit? find me in #intrepids later if you need any help, i'm at work so i can't troubleshoot for you :)
