Omg... the big hit stick is just awesome. I love the scoreboard, the new replay angles. Its a great game. My bro bought the collector's addition and i guess we can play old madden versions. Pretty neat.

Collector's Edition didn't seem all that to me. Maybe if they didn't use current rosters on them it would be worth while. Game is very nice though. Played it on PS2, can't wait for it to come out on PC.

I've played only a little, my brother bought it. It seems like the hit stick is a little too good upon my first time playing this.

The hit stick is useful only where big hits are useful, as far as I've seen.

When I play defense, I use the free safety, so on run plays I'm spending too much time catching the back to hit him with the stick. On pass plays over the middle however, people get leveled =)

I played on Pro just to mess with the hit stick, maybe you need to turn up the difficulty Mexi, cause it's really easy to use it on practically every down on the lower difficulty settings.

I will post my madden sliders soon, still tweaking them, to those who have asked on IRC :)

I just tap and it works fine. I don't hold on to it like I'm driving into the player or anything. Haven't noticed a delay, except in online mode, god damn every time I try to make a pick I get raped for some reason it feels differently.

I'm 7-2 now :(

I can't quite figure the hit stick out. Sometimes it will execute it as soon as you press it, other times your guy waits five seconds and then goes in for the big hit, but by that time the guy with the ball is already long gone. Is there a way to "charge up" or something and I just don't know about it?

you have to do it like a second before you plan on making contact

The hit-stick is a great innovation. Fumbles o'plenty if you manage to get in close and then bring the wood on someone. Overall, I like the feel and play of 2k5 over 2k4, not to mention the graphics are 45x better as well.

EA did it again. I've been playing Madden like crack and probably wont stop any time soon. And magus, where can I get ahold of you on IRC? Ive got some stuff id love to 'introduce' you to. ;)

Vr, what I've done is turned the CPU sliders in offense and defense up 3 from all pro level.

4 for pass deflections and INTs.

I've lost a few games, it's pretty challenging.

I have to force myself to stay away from the mall because if I go in I know for sure I will drop cash on this, a ps2 modem and Tales of Symphonia :(

Check out these forums for all your Madden needs:

http://www.maddenmania.com/forums/

Bunch of Madden slider gurus there, they post them all the time.

I like these in particular:

http://www.maddenmania.com/forums/showthread.php?t=62234

http://www.maddenmania.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7770

There are plenty of others too, just look around.

Not only do they try to make them challenging, they also try to make it so the stats are realistic. They average out a bunch of different settings statistically to do this. I tried the first set, they worked pretty good.
