Well this isn't the format you want, but we should get a sticky going with links to just a bunch of review sites. Maybe if I get unlazy, I will write a script that you can enter a name in, and it will give you a list of how ever many review sites that come up with a hit for that name.... I'd be up for helping with something like this.

anyway: www.gameinformer.com I use alot, doesn't go back much past the current console gens though.

Well for the games I like to play, its ratings are pretty much dead on every time.

What games do you like that get only OK reviews?

Possible reasons that megaman collection got such a high review:
1) Its like 8 games
2) its 30 bucks
3) Many people played and loved megaman back in the day. It is considered a classic.

You have to consider alot more then just the game itself when you look at a review. You may personally not like to play "classic" re-released games.

The reason I like this site is because the people that review the games, play all the games from crappy to great. Most of the write in review sites are done by people that play only a few select games out of the genre, and tend to over rate a game due to lack of experience.

for the love of emp don't use NUKE!! it has more security holes than a strainer.

I would suggest using VB with the portal or moving the domain to my ISP and letting me code something custom. No fee needed. I've been wanting to do something like this for years.

Edit: this is not an attempt at a hostile takeover :D

lol

it may have security holes up the ass but there are patches that you can put on your site to make it up to code and unhackable... well not unhackable but a lot harder to hack

Right now its in building stage. Joe from gaming-tv has been a bit busy but hes working on it this week to get it up. I would say mid November for fully functional everything. By 1st we should have reviews and news going. I been speaking to many developers and I have some press release coming through (midway, eidos, acclaim, konami) I also may have the website mentioned in January's or Febuarys official playstation magazine. I know a few guys down there in Chicago who hooked me up in 2002 with a little paragraph about VGOA.com

Well we see how it goes.
