modding xbox

well i got through most of the steps, was able to put in the mod chip with no problems and flash a new bios into it. now I'm just stuck on loading the dashboard onto the xbox, I've tried setting up my own evox, and also have tried slayers, but the xbox can't recognize any of my cd's. I've tried 4 different ones already to no avail.

anyone know what I can do? or at least tell me how you were able to load your dashboard.

make sure you are using a CD-RW or eben a DVD-RW as CD-R dont work for most people

yea I know I've used 3 different cd-rw brands and 5 cds now. It's strange since the xbox was able to read the bios off of one fine, but cant read it a second time for the dashboard.

so what chip/bios are you using? maybe you flashed it wrong?

also does the "micrsoft" words come up under the xbox logo when its booting?

I'm using xecutor pro 2.3b flashed it with the xecutor bios. The chip and the bios are all working/installed fine. It says xecutor2 under the xbox logo just like it should.

Just I can't load the dashboard to the xbox. Keeps saying that the xbox can't read the disk in the drive.

What brand of disk did you use? I've tried Imation, Maxell, and Fujifilm. All cd-rw's. It's weird though since the xbox was able to read the disk fine when I was loading up the bios.

well maybe you did not make the ISO right then? but you did say you tryed SLAYERS so I dunno
I use maxell on my box was basicly the only RW that would read...

maybe try and re burn SLAYERS or try and get a copy of FireFuckers install CD

give Memorex CD-RW 4x 700mb a try.
