Tomorrow baby! I'm going to have one sick lineup. Not using legendaries, it will probably be:
Milotic
Jolteon
Dragonite(some consider legendary but my friends and I allow him)
Swampert
Cradily
Gengar
I realize I have two water types, but they are both too dominant to keep out of the team.
edit: Anyone see the wireless adapters coming with these? I heard the range is something ridiculous like a mile, but I find that hard to believe.

If I had to guess I'd say they probally have the same range as a wavebird

I'm thinking of buying this. After seeing this:
I realize I have two water types, but they are both too dominant to keep out of the team.
It makes me feel geeky for even considering it.
But oh well.

Don't be ashamed Nine :)
We play IN SECRET AT COLLEGE NO ONE KNOWS MUAHAHHA.
It's a very good RPG, now what they should do is make Final Fantasy Tactics like Pokemon, where you can link up and battle your teams.

I had the first pokemon. I really liked it.
Do you think it's worth it if I never plan on battling anyone?

I got FireRed because my friend wants to get LeafGreen.
Future Shop had it for 39.99 and I price matched at Zellers and got my employee discount on top of that. :}

I just beat Cinnabar Island. I am inbetween 8 or 9 guys right now, all on level 38.
Charizard
Venusaur
Blastoise
Machamp (probably will stop using now)
Aerodactyl
Dragonair
Snorlax
Lapras
Jolteon
Nine, you and your friend should keep starting the game over on one pak till you have all 3 starters for both games, it's fun :)
Aerodactyl is pretty pimp and will be a monster once I put earthquake on him. My final lineup will probably be (I stop at lvl60)
Lapras
Dragonite
Aerodactyl
Charizard
Snorlax
Jolteon
I'm addicted as hell!

Pikachu is useless, I would switch him with Jolteon as soon as you get to celadon (which you can since you are in lavender)
Never used farfetch'd, I do remember his attack was high though. The only flying type I've ever seriously used was Aerodactyl, well Pigeot too sorta.
The puff is quite useless, there are stronger normal types around, even at your stage in the game. Maybe a mankey or machop for a fighter? My first breeding experiment was successful, I now have a level 5 abra with Ice Punch and Thunderpunch... wow. Once he gets psychic he will be unbelievable with his stats.

Nothing has survived sing + dream eater.

September 19th, 2004, 09:29 PM
I put Dream Eater on my ghost, Haunter, because his special attack is much higher than Jigglypuff's... I don't remember if Jiggly has any really stacked stats, I think his evolved form has very high defense and decent HP.
On a side note, having to trade from Sapphire to Colloseum and then to Red and back and forth is really freaking annoying!!!!

The ability to cross breed between games and mix and match pokemon from different regions has made pokemon the greatest RPG series in the history of the universe. I'm so fucking addicted right now.
Not to mention they made the elite four so fucking hard the second time around. With new pokemon... my lord.

Why is my Farfetch'd getting boosted exp? Is it because I traded it?
MacMaverick

Yes, traded Pokemon get boosted experience.
I want these, but I don't really know about any of the special features. Talk to me about them...

I'm currently heading back to the ghost tower after beating the rocket base. My strongest pokemon right now are my 34 nidoking and 32 alakazam.
This is my first pokemon game since the orginal, and Im really fricken confused on what breeding is, and I heard you can evolve Eevee to 2 new different types with happyness +day/night, how the heck does that work.
Magus

Ok, a couple of questions, let's see what I can do to answer:
Special Features as compared to Blue/Red? About a million if you include breeding, the added Sevii Islands, the elite four getting stronger and having new pokemon after the first time you beat the "classic" elite four, wireless adapters, more legendary pokemon, and the list goes on. Not to mention you can trade with Ruby/Sapphire/Colloseum after you beat Red/Green to create an awesome team with all different pokemon, which is what I'm in the midst of doing...
What is breeding breeding is where two pokemon are part of the same group (human-form, monster, etc, this is usually easily seen by looking at them, or you can check some good websites out there, www.serebii.net is where I go for the pokedex). Some can pass moves onto one another, so say I want my Alakazam to have FirePunch. First, I need a female abra (the baby is always whatever the female pokemon was) then, I need a male Hitmonchan/Magmar/anything that knows firepunch. When I breed the pokemon, I'll get a level 5 abra with firepunch!
The loophole to breeding... It's Ditto! That stupid purple blob can mate with ANY pokemon, it's how I got all five eevee's, which is freaking sweet by the way.
When you leave both your pokemon at the day care, you can talk to the old man to check how they are doing. Even if he says they don't like each other, they will still produce an egg, just ride around on your bike for a bit and keep checking. You can't mate parents with children or male/males/females/females. When you mate with Ditto, it will always be the other pokemon. Legendaries can't mate.
Dark/Light Eevees? Umbreon(dark) and Espeon(psychic) are the starter pokemon in Colloseum. If you don't have Colloseum, put your pokemon on your Ruby/Sapphire cart, and get it's happiness to it's fullest, either just by training it alot or giving it pokeblocks, whatever. Once it is happy and advances a level, it will evolve into one of these two pokemon based on the time of day. You can't evolve these in FR/LG, because there is no game clock. Sucks.
