Orishas

I'm just wondering if there are some people that know this band (Orishas).
A friend made me discover this band and I must say that it's one of the best band i've heard in a while.

It's hard to label one particular style to this band because they are mixing a lot of different ones. If I was to give them a style I think I would go with something like Spanish-Rap-Reggae-Salsa.
Anyway, all their song are in spanish. They have 2 cds. I recommend Emigrante more than their first one (A la cubano)(still a very good cd, but just not as good).

if you like orishas then give manuchao a try

they are a spanish band
they sing in english, french and of course spanish
they combine rap/reggae/latin and other stuff in their music

definitely give their first cd a try

theres this other band that kina sound kinda like them too they are called
yerba buena, they have a really catchy song called guantanamera

Yeah I know Manu Chao too. Very good too but definitly prefere Orishas.

Manu Chao's just one guy, but yeah he's pretty good. If you like Manu Chao try Mano Negra, they were the band he fronted like 10 years ago and had a string of hits.

And if you like Orishas, try Ozomatli, they're a latin hip hop ensemble who have ties with Jurassic 5 (Chali 2na and Cut Chemist help them out a lot)
