If several thousand programmers haven't solved this problem by now, I doubt we can :P Network lag will most likely be similar to that of CS:S and HL2: DM. The programming team will no doubt implement as many features as possible to alleviate the lag where it is suitable / possible (client prediction, nolag gren timers etc.) but that's as much as we can possibly do.

I expect that lag due to server load wont be anywhere as bad as it is in HL2:DM.

Can you at least make hh conc jumps less dependent on your ping. Every west coast player here can explain to you how much that pisses them off.

HHing with high ping is annoying. I play from Germany on usually east coast servers. My ping is rarely consistant from server to server. Believe me you notice how the ping effects concs... as well as detting pipes :|

It's not that bad... maybe something's changed in the last 7 months.I don't know about you or anyone else, but I don't think I've hit a single hh ever since steam came out. I'd like to just blame steam, but maybe I just suck.
