The instructions for the Futuremark benches are much easier. All you will need to do is post your score and a link to the futuremark website online result browser that is free to sign up for after completing a test run.

I'll post a score when I put my main system back together (water leak :D). I bought a Leadtek 6800 for $170 and so far it unlocks to 16x1,6 with no issues and overclocks to something around 375/850, scoring nearly 4500 at the moment; I can't wait to see if I can touch 5000 once I put it in my main system.

Janus
October 8th, 2005, 08:40 PM
what WC system do you have? did you buy a kit or buy the parts yourself? I am looking at putting one together sometime this year. I know I can get 2.8 out of this badboy.

Commander
October 8th, 2005, 09:40 PM
Danger Den 5 1/4" bay Reservoir
Danger Den Single Heatercore
Danger Den 12v Pump (Swiftech sells the exact same pump with their own name as well)
Swiftech MCW6002 Waterblock
Tygon/Home Depot Tubing
etc

The system was never very effective, since my temperature delta (load - idle) was at like 15C, and I could never could figure out what the weak point in my system was. I bought a new 120x38mm Delta fan (140cfm) for my Heatercore and three new 80x25mm Panaflo fans (45cfm) for my case in hopes that the airflow was hindering my performance in my last setup.

Janus
October 8th, 2005, 11:13 PM
sounds pretty good to me, myself I think I am going to use a T-line instead of a reservoir, it is supposed to be easier from what I understand. And probably the Black Ice Extreme II radiator with a couple semi-quiet panaflo fans. I just hope I can fit the system into my P-180, mainly cuz I spent $120 on this case and I won't want to buy a new one. I will end up getting the Swiffy MCW6002 probably though, unless I can get the STORM for cheap.

Commander
October 9th, 2005, 12:44 AM
A T-line is cheaper and it's not prone to leaking like a res (I think the cap on my res wasn't secured :O), but a res is easier to bleed. I'm pretty sure that a heatercore will outperform all those Black Ice radiators; you'll need to read up on stuff related to that to see which performs better. I recently noticed that Swiftech has their new Storm block, but I don't think it offers enough over the MCW6002 to warrent the premium price for it.

Janus

the 3400+ is the sempron right? I would expect around 6000 though, or even mid 6's from your system though. If you want to submit scores go into your registry (regedit) and delete the registration code for 3dMark05 it is under the root of Futuremark

Azlan

AMD Sempron is a downgraded model of the winchester and venice cores. Instead of the 512kb L2 cache, the sempron's have 256kb. Performance is nearly identical in windows or other windows programs.. much of the difference is in gaming. sempron's are also marginally cheaper.

I have a feeling az has a clawhammer core, which has a 1MB L2 cache. And yes, your score should be quite a bit higher.

actually upon doing a search and compare on futuremark's orb, you are just about spot-on for your score, with you actually being in 4th place with people with a similar setup of yours. I guess when I saw your graphics card I figured it was an x850XT and not the x850 pro series.

unlocked to 16x1,6 and clocked to 370mhz/900mhz (stock 325/700)
This thing must have 2.2ns DDR or something, I'll try flashing the BIOS so I can get more volts for the core and loosen the memory timings. 5000 should be easy.

I just wanted to point out that nothing on my system is overclocked, so I'm sure I could gain some numbers that way. Plus, I had mucho stuff running in the background when I ran the tests, so that probably effected the score as well. (at least the cpu score). I'll run it again later next time I restart (i never do :P).

I don't think the core clock ever showed up correctly for my BFG GFFX 5900 either. My 6800 gets artifacts right away with anything over 370mhz core and 915mhz memory.

After changing the memory timings from within windows, the memory went over 1ghz with no immediate issues. At 1050mhz my computer froze :D

i bought another 6600GT to run SLi with the new mobo i am running but the one they sent me didnt work. So, i sent it back and am now waiting for them to send me it again. Also, the one i am running now is having fan failure and the fan will not start up on its own. Today my gpu was just over 100C! So, when zipzoomfly sends me the fixed card (which supposedly shipped today) i can put that in my comp and then RMA my 10 month old one to MSI and wait that out and hopefully then, i will actually be able to run SLi. What a mess.
