View Full Version : The greatest day of college games ever? (Which was best?)

I'm struggling to think of a day when the games and the finishes have ever been more exciting and memorable than today.
Wisc. blocks a punt vs. Minn. with 30 seconds left recovers in the endzone and wins.
MSU vs. OSU was ugly, but until MSU fumbled with 3 minutes left it was up in the air.
Michigan beats undefeated PSU on a play that happened with 1 second left. (the whole 4th quarter was insane) Oh and don't forget Carr had to argue for 2 seconds to get back on the clock. Needed those 2.
Louisville vs. WVU goes into 3 OT
UCLA scores with 30 seconds left to tie it and then wins in OT to remain undefeated.
Looks like BC vs. WF was a 4th quarter comeback and a backup QB. Uhh ya I looked it up. BC scored TD's with 2:30 and 1:18 left on the clock with their backup QB. Wow.
CAL upset by 3 against Oregon State
Oh and some team from California looked like some team from Boston and came through in the clutch to beat ND and remain unbeaten.
Edit: I somehow forgot to include Alabama's FG as time expired to reamin undefeated.

What was his dumbass thinking? You take the safety and you still have a 1 point lead.

I just saw the end of the BC game on Sportscenter. The catch to put BC ahead was unreal. One of the best catches of the season.

lol...I was just watching sportscenter and thinking the same thing. I watched every minute of every game I could on multiple screens today.
Probably the best full day of football I've seen in my life.
Other than the games mentioned there were other games like UF/LSU which did go down to the wire.

Every ranked game today except maybe Miami, TTU, and Texas were good games.

I'd just like to note that Miami couldn't put up 1 fucking point against Temple from 11:51 in the 2nd to the end of the game. Temple actually outscored Miami for 3 quarters...3-0. Their second string must blow fucking ass to be held off by Temple for 3 quarters. Yes, this was all a half-assed joke, but it's still pretty funny.
Oh and they didn't cover the spread. HAHAHAHAHA.

Think about the people who bet on Minnesota -3.
They went from potentially getting their money back to losing the bet. Ooops.

Forever, I just hung out with Ike Whitaker tonight. He came up introduced himself as Ike who played football. We drank some and immediately he started hitting on the ladies. Cool guy, hopefully the future of VT.

He's a lanky motherfucker, isn't he? I've seen him around campus a bunch and he sticks out like a sore thumb. Needs to put on about 10-12lbs of muscle badly, tho.
Btw, motherfucking FSU. Ah well, 2 more undefeated pretenders gone and we're the only ones left in the ACC. I wonder how good some of you think FSU looks now, lol. Can't wait till Weatherford actually has to play a good D.

I agree. But even still, how hard is it to catch a fucking snap thats perfectly in your hands, and then after you drop it how dumb do you have to be to try and punt it instead of just falling on it or attempting to run for a safety.

Wow, what a day.. I had my wide-screen going on two seperate games (game in game) and had two other tv's in the room going on other games.. what an insane day of games..
I can't remember a day like this in college football ever.. (And I am 50, so I have watched one or two games before).. Two more from the unbeaten ranks gone, and 4-5 games won in the last minute.. insane..

My question is: Will Notre Dame improve from the #9 ranking?

For this week? No. They fell in the Coaches and (lol) they stayed 9 in the AP, which is horseshit. You lose, you need to fall, period.

i dont understand why minn didnt take a safety, and then get a free kick. why risk a punt out of your own endzone when you can afford the points?
the usc game was easily the most exciting. that was crazy.
