Don't know if anyone else reads GameDeveloper magazine (it's a free trade journal I get monthly -- mostly advertising)... Anyhow, I was thumbing through the latest issue (Nov 2005) while on the crapper and was reading the cover story on "Scaling the Cabal" which describes Valve's development methodologies.

In a little blurb on the bio line for each of the authors reads:

"BRIAN JACOBSON, a software developer for Valve, is currently hard at work on TEAM FORTRESS 2.

DAVID SPEYER is a software engineer, and before coming to Valve in 1999, spent six years as a programmer and project manager developing retail communications software."
I found it an interesting tease that the principal author chose to mention that he's working on Team Fortress 2. This could all be more propaganda and misdirection or just a bunch of hooey. Who knows... I guess I was just surprised that no one else had mentioned it yet considering I just got around to reading the article.

TF2 is a myth, similar to Bigfoot or the Loch Ness Monster.
