wow, that's the first time I have seen an intel beat a (read: somewhat) equivalent AMD competitor for a long long time.

yeah even if the intel system is rigged thats a pretty large margin on the F.E.A.R benches.

Pretty nice, I dislike all the people on enthusiest boards saying how people favor AMD for no reason, i'd take intel any second with this performanche on a decently priced chip.

Also keep in mind that we are over six months away from the actual launch of Conroe

also i read somewhere that the conroe should go up 3.6ghz and i think the upcoming amd am2 offerings will max out at 3.0ghz.

people don't favor AMD for no reason, at least I don't. I favor them for their price:performance ratio. I can buy a chip from AMD that will outperform Intel's equally priced (or higher priced) chip in most, if not all, of the benchmarks that I am interested in.
