Anything goes. What did you listen to the most, kept going back to, and still listen to today?
Insomnium - Since the Day It All Came Down
that's my pick, i got it back in like february of last year from a friend after i couldn't find it online anywhere. I really enjoyed their first full length (still do) and when this one came around it was more of the same excellence, but flowed better, contrasted better, and was another great step for them, solidifying them as one of my new favorite melodeath acts.

I'm assuming you're limiting it to one pick, so here's mine:

Wolf Parade - Apologies to the Queen Mary
It was my most anticipated release of the year and didn't disappoint in the slightest. From start to finish there wasn't an album more consistently great in '05, and it still holds up when I listen to it today.

Tys that was 2004. He has a new one coming out this year, though. The single is already floating around for it actually.

After watching Walk the Line, I've been getting back into Johnny Cash in a big way. I like Joaquin Phoenix's versions a lot, not as much as the originals, but its nice to hear some new life in these songs.
I don't listen to the radio, so I mostly listen to my brother's (Scott) music.
