OK, here is my story.

CPU Specs:
1.6 GHz
512 MB
80 GB
Nvidia Geforce FX 5200

Alright I play TFC, CS Source occasionally, and recently Guild Wars. My computer has always acted just fine playing the first two and I started playing Guild Wars about 2 months ago and it ran just fine up until about 2 weeks ago. For no reason and in no particular place in the game while playing Guild Wars, my computer will freeze. Completely freeze and won't be able to do anything. I have to manually reboot and then it runs fine again. It seems that guild wars works fine while sitting in towns or whatever and it always freezes in the middle of fights, but it's not particularly large fights or computer stressing ones. Again, it's just random. I reformatted and again the game worked just fine for about a week but yesterday it started all over again. Also, my computer froze while playing CS:S once or twice after it started freezing in Guild Wars. I don't know if its a program I re-installed on my computer that is doing this or what. I noticed that I installed MSN Messenger and then the problems started again but that might just a coincidence. I've ran virus scanners and adware scanners and nothing has helped. Anyone have any ideas?

I think you need more memory & a better videocard. I don't think its a power problem because it dosn't reboot, it just freezes. I'd get another stick of 512 and a 6600GT 128 if you want to spend as little of money as you can. If you want something nice, get a 6800GT or a 7800GT/GS (depending on what v-card slot you have).

Also, make sure you have the latest videocard drivers. Look on nvidia's webpage.

why would it work for a month and a half and then just stop? Also, how much would that cheap fix cost me?

GW is probably pushing your videocard/memory harder then CSS/TFC. Thats why it usually works with css/tfc. And it works in towns because there isn't alot of stuff going on "graphic wise" and when your in a fight it uses a lot of your videocard.

Do you have a AGP slot? or PCI-E? or even a regular PCI slot? If you don't have a AGP/PCI-E its probably time to start saving up for a new computer.
