So today my temps in "channe1 " went from 35-40 degrees to 50-52. All the fans are working and on, and the air comming out the back is hotttt. Anybody have any ideas? thanks!

update the bios. make sure there's air going in as well as going out of the case. make sure there's room around the case for air flow.

get a better fan, im guessing your running an AMD processor, they are the best, but they over heat unless you have a good fan(s)

If you arent, then im not sure

u want a program that controls the fan speed? i have one..
and for this kind of stuff, u should post it in tech center.
not here...this is for half life related techs..

could be bc youre running something intense? things heat up when they have to work harder.

get a small house fan and let it blow into your case ;)

Take out the processor and apply artic silver 5 thermal paste. Then dust out your computer case and make sure all of the fans are working good. I'd also make sure your case isn't "shut up" and make sure that it gets good airflow. Hope it helps

good advice th.

try taking off the side of the case to let more fresh air in and see if the temps go back down. Are you running anything that puts the computer under a constant load (folding, etc?)

Make sure the power supply one is working well.

Also, where is the fan pulling in air and the one pulling air out?

most processors are designed for a maximum temp of 80 to 85cel. Your temps are nowere near that. The fact that you feel hot air exiting your case tells you that everything is doing what it's suppossed to be doing. That is, your fans are moving the hot air out of the case.

Check your harddrives. I had a Maxtor that ran incredibly hot, to the point that when it finally failed, (it was replaced by a Seagate) my overall temps dropped by several degrees...That drive drove me nuts...I added drive coolers, they cooled the drive, but the amount of heat that it generated remained constant...(it had a one year warrantee, it failed at 14 months. I have not bought a Maxtor since)

I'm not running anything and my power supply is a little hot but it has a fan on it. 1 fan pulling from side of case(see through side case) 2 out the back and 1 out the front. Thanks for all the help guys I just dont know what could shoot up my temps in 1 area to 15+ degrees hotter than it was!

you want to pull in from the front pull in from the side and push through the back for maximum air flow, you are creating a vaccuum like that.

Clean the dust out of the heatsink.
