Yea, that lovely patch that fixed so many dreadful problems with steam came out, and now I get around 40-100 fps most of the time while playing, as opposed to the 100 constant (other than ultra large + spammy maps, like adl for instance) I've had for months, since I got a 6800 ultra.
For the most part I'm checking to see if anyone else is having this problem, or had it and fixed it, obviously there isn't much I can do, since it was perfectly fine before the patch. So exciting nonetheless.

I can't even keep a constant 60 with my PC, but I don't notice any difference after the update.

Yeah i've noticed that i get choke. But my fps is still a constant 70. Can anyone give me all of the commands to get 100 fps?
I've already put my monitor on 85hz
fps_max 101
Developer 1
what else should i use?

Vsynch is off... Monitor is at 100.. fps_max 100.. Don't need anymore commands. Nothing changed for me.

I have an FPS-helping opengl32 now!
Maybe it changed your configs? Maybe texture mode or color quality, not sure. Actually I think it's cuz friends works now so it uses up some resources?

do you have game profiles like when hl.exe opens, your monitor hz rate changes to 70 hz? Vsync off with those commands should give you 100 fps, granted your video card can do it.
You don't need developer 1 unless you want more than 100 fps

I have a 6600GT 128 videocard. What do you mean by "game profiles" I set my monitor to the max (85hz). Where is the vsync located at? I assume its under my geforce cpanel? Thanks btw, i used to have 100 fps constant then i did a reformat and forgot what settings i used.

Vsynch is under display properties > settings > advanced> in quality or performance settings... I have been playing with it off for 5 years. Only difference I notice is I can't bhop with it on.

from what i thought i read awhile ago, vsync can take away from some of the video cards power??? I just remember with my old card with vsync on i would get 85-100 fps and with it off i would get a steady 100. i would just use it off if your video card can give you steady fps.
As for your vsync (vertical sync) problem, yes it should be under your "performance and quality" settings on your geforce control panel.

Same thing for me as far as drops in fps at times and when it doesn't drop i get loss...so it's pretty much the same damn thing:( I dl'd this program to force ur comp to 100fps during games regardless of what tfc converts it to upon starting a game. http://www.pagehosting.co.uk/rf/ <---- kick ass for me. Hope this helps.
