After seven years as a band with various lineups, 3 records and over a thousand shows, FSF agree it is time to move on to other things in our lives. We have enjoyed touring the world over these years, and meeting all of our incredible fans. All of the members of FSF remain the best of friends and look forward to the future, whatever it may bring.

Further Seems Forever will be playing our final shows in early 2006. They will be with the full electric band. We will be doing spot shows in various cities across the country and Canada. We will do our best to play as many places as possible but several members now have full-time jobs and other full time commitments. We hope to see all our fans out at the shows and look forward to playing for you one more time.

We won’t be recording a new record but there will be some unreleased material coming out as well as a DVD with live footage and videos.

We would like to thank all the people and bands who helped our band over the years and made it possible for us to do what we love. Without them behind the scenes we simply couldn’t have done this. Special thanks goes out to our families whose love, encouragement and understanding made it possible to be in this band.

We will be keeping our MySpace page current and you can check that page as well as this site for new info on shows, the DVD and any other FSF related news.

We wish everyone a great new year and hope to see you soon.

good riddance, their latest album was crap. their new singer is crap and way too old and lame.

shoulda given it up when jason gleason left the band. if they come back again WITHOUT chris carabba theyll just fail horribly and get laughed at.

just felt like telling you kids if you didnt know, lolol.

I think this is really old news. Ive known this for several months. Theyre putting out a greatest hits CD soon if Im not mistaken. I imagine this CD will be empty since I cant conceive of any good songs theyve produced.

FSF kicked ass, so fuck you all. Gleason and Carabba were both strong in the front of a very talented band, the last guy, not so much.

Nevertheless, I will miss them. I have to laugh at a 3 CD career's "greatest hits" lol.

Their first album with Carraba was their peak imo.

The moon is down is one of my top 10 albums, and how to start of fire didn't appeal to me when i first heard it but it definitly has grown on me lately (as in the past year).

as for hide nothing, i personally enjoyed it even though I do believe it was quite amateur compared to the moon is down/how to start a fire. . .and by amateur I mean they have 3 absolutly amazing guitar players that pull off the trio very very well and in hide nothing, most of their cords were very simple and nothing that really made me step back.

anyways, i'm sad they broke up and i'll still enjoy their music even after they are gone.

the thing with fsf is that, while they were fairly good musicians - they always had a pretty boy lead singer. chris carabba stole the hearts of thousands of 14 year old girls, and then jason gleason came out being all pseudo hardcore and stole the hearts of thousands more 14 year old girls. then they got the new guy whos 45, balding, wears huge JNCOs, and looks like a big penis on stage - and then everyone started to hate them. oh, new guy also butchered all of the new songs. when i saw them with sparta, i almost cried because new years project sounded so horrible :{{.

you mean all of the old songs... no one should try to cover new year's project, it's not a very good song to try to emulate if you aren't carabba. gleason probably couldn't pull it off, either.

i never heard gleason try to sing it all 2 or 3 times i saw them with him.. probably for the better. I think he was actually pretty good at covering the older songs, though, so i dont know.

This thread has made me listen to my FSF collection, which I have concluded that in my more mature, non-high school, life I have How to Start a Fire 100x more than Moon is Down.

sooo true, I went and saw them with gleason as the singer and he was trying to sing a bunch of caraba's songs, but he couldn't match his voice, it wasn't even close and he ended up making himself look like an absolute idiot.
