anyone know any good programs to convert mpegs and avi's to the format used for an ipod Video player? Links would also be appreciated!

Cumsoft WMA/WMV/AVI/MPG/MPEG converter to iPod MP4.
It's not free, but it's the best I've ever used. The free trial leaves a watermark in the middle - you won't want it. You can download the free trial then look for "codes" online (you know the drill).

yup dan liked me to that a long time ago and it rapes. i put a tfc avi on a friends ipod and it looks great!

Videora doesnt work for me. I've converted it an .avi to .mp4 and all I get is audio. No video.
